Easy DIY that even beginners can do!

This time, we will introduce a DIY "accessory rack" that can be made without using an electric screwdriver or hammer!
The only tool you'll need is a hex wrench, so even DIY beginners can give it a try!

What is HUGBLOCK?

Hug Blocks are an item that allows you to easily create original furniture using just a set of blocks.

It can be assembled and disassembled repeatedly by simply clamping the boards together and fixing them in place.

It can be resized and reassembled as your child grows, and is also recommended for carrying around on picnics and other outdoor occasions.

What you need:

This time we will make a small item rack using the following materials and tools.

・1 board, 12mm thick x 300mm x 120mm ・1 board, 12mm thick x 300mm x 60mm ・2 boards, 12mm thick x 200mm x 120mm ・4 L-shaped hug blocks
・Asahipen Water-Based Matte Paint Matte Color Cafe Au Lait

【tool】
-Hexagonal wrench (included with Hug Block 4-piece set)
・Paint brush

procedure

[1] Painting
 We will paint the prepared wood.
The color I chose this time was cafe au lait (brown)! It was very easy to apply, and I was able to paint all four panels in no time.


[2] Assemble with Hug Blocks
 Fit the hug block into the board and temporarily secure it in place using an Allen wrench.
Once the four hug blocks are temporarily fixed, tighten them tightly!

[3] Completion
 The accessory rack is finished!

It has a back panel so you can hang a hook on the back.
It was very easy to make, so next time I'd like to take it a step further and make a two-tiered box by combining T-shaped hug blocks.
